Rebuilding a Digital Asset Ecosystem
Redesigning a 100,000+ artwork asset archive into a searchable, scalable system built around real user behavior, and transforming it from a bottleneck into a business accelerator.

The Challenge
Crystal Art Gallery has an exceptional team of in-house digital and traditional artists creating hundreds of original artwork designs per week for a wide variety of clients.
However, the enormous digital asset archive had grown into an inaccessible chasm.
✖ Search unreliable.
✖ Metadata inconsistent.
✖ Teams duplicating work.
✖ Sales couldn’t access the latest assets.
The archive existed — but it wasn’t browsable.
As the artwork library expanded, the system meant to organize it became a bottleneck.
The System
I redesigned the structure of the archive to prioritize discoverability, clarity, and real-world usability.
This involved:
• rebuilding metadata architecture
• standardizing input practices across teams
• designing intuitive UI workflows
• implementing broad search tools with include/omit logic
• collaborating with external developers for front-facing site
• training teams on new system behavior
The goal wasn’t just cleaner data.
It was frictionless access.
The archive became a working tool, not a storage vault.
